MIYC is a part of the charmingly funky village of La Pointe WI. This means that every slip in our marina is just a few minutes’ walk from restaurants, bars, a coffee shop, a grocery store, a laundromat, bike and scooter rental, local art galleries, the island’s history museum, a church, a post office, a beach, hiking trails, planned or impromptu music, and the ferry to Bayfield on the mainland. The Robert Trent Jones Sr.-designed 18-hole golf course is across the street from MIYC.
Madeline Island’s year-round population is about 300, but the summer’s crowds are many multiples of that. People come to Madeline Island for a lovely safe harbor slip; they stay for the fish tacos…
